In order for our students to best excell as both artists and students in an educational setting, we take the time to ensure students can balance academic expectations whilst also exceeding their own artistic expectations and looking beyond the parameters of their work as merely being made for assessment. Through out KS3 4 and 5 we focus on how best to be an 'artistudent' at the beginning of any project, with a strong foundation of metacognitive skills to underpin creativity that is risk taking and challenges normative ideas around school art. We collect resources on the artistudent website so artistudents cans access support when needed, and we are also dedicated to promoting the work being made to a large audience for recognition and acknowledgement of their hard work. Our aim is for students to not only do well in their subject, but to see beyond that to the characteristics and qualities in their creativity and it value in any path they choose.
